With over-night temperatures dropping to minus 7, anglers braved the weather to be rewarded with a superb match.

Leading the way was Guru's Andy Pell with 61lb 6oz of small carp caught on the long pole and pellet from Walworth lake.

2nd was Mike Wheeler, on Marshes 1 with 36lb of carp, barbel and tench caught on the pole and worm.

3rd was Joe Roberts with 34lb 10oz of skimmer bream.

4th was Andy Poole with 32lb 10oz of skimmer bream.

The top 10 weights were all in excess of 14lbs despite breaking the ice before the start.

The Mitre Pool, now back to a fishable level has produced no fewer than 22 runs, with 18 fish banked, all in double figures, for the specimen hunters overnight.
